If you’re looking for nature, panoramic views and active relaxation, then the Pizol mountain is the place for you. A nature experience with authentic mountain moments, tranquillity and impressive panoramas. Over 120 km of hiking trails lead through alpine landscapes and past mountain lakes and viewpoints. Quiet places to relax, have a picnic or simply enjoy the view can be found along the trails and by the mountain lakes.

Heidi trail

The Heidi trail begins at the valley station in Bad Ragaz, where small goat barns set the scene for Heidi’s world. Keep a look out for Peter’s goats on the circular trail. Along the way, there are exciting activities such as the goat jump and the hammock forest. The barefoot trail with Kneipp features for children will delight the senses of children and adults alike. Playgrounds, barbecue areas and a viewpoint offer temptations to linger.

Five-lakes hike

The five-lakes hikeTarget not accessible on the Pizol mountain is one of Switzerland’s most beautiful panorama hikes. Passing crystal-clear mountain lakes, the mountain trail takes you through the unmistakable alpine landscape. The hike starts at Wangersee near the Pizolhütte mountain station at 2,227 m above sea level and takes around 4 to 5 hours. The climb to the Wildsee gap, which takes about one hour, opens up the panorama of the Eastern Swiss, Graubünden and Austrian Alps until later, beyond the Wildsee gap (2,493 m), the Wildsee comes into view.
